This photo suffers the "rotated manually, but with the rotation bit still set". So in programs that adhere to the rotation bit, it will rotate an extra 90 degrees. I found this extremely annoying, as I would like to keep all exif data except for the rotatation bit, but there is no way in Gimp to do that. F-spot seems to fix it automatically, but I don't use it for all my pictures.
A solution I found recently is to run exiftran on all my pictures after importing them from the camera.
