p.s. previous post doesn't mean I am against LGPLv3, I am just curious, can GPLv2 code link against this version. Could not find on Google anything significant either.

The problem may be that (if I understand the FAQ correctly) one can put v2 code into v3 applications if they permit "v2 or later" but possibly can't do the opposite (using v3 code in v2 applications) as this would require the whole project to become v3. But IANAL - as always. ;-)
