Grass root effort might push Apple to do so. A good argument would be to point out competitors that do support Ogg and linux better than Apple.

I just posted an enhancement request regarding OggVorbis on apples' site. I also asked them to help existing groups (e.g. Rhythmbox) to make their support better. Even if don't think they'll ever will :)

To not really:

Real advice wouldn't be how to convert OGG files to something else. Real advice would be how to play good OGG files on our existing digital devices. When you compare the same song between MP3 and OGG format, you'll probably find that OGG is the better way to go. That's what this article is about.
