I always like BeOS but unfortunately I think it deader than OS/2. However if developers are interested in actively maintaining an abiword port then a comeback is still possible. Best of luck to them.

P.S. How about those Danish women?

I'm hanging out for 2.4.2 on Linux -- it's been a month now and they still haven't got Linux caught up with Windows!

BeOS is quite alive through ZETA, so we could always start a "comment war" on OS2 or BeOS being most dead...

IsComputerOn decided not to write about the AbiWord screenshots as they are from September last year. The source code the developer published is by no way compilable, that is the feedback I got from a few users/developers.

Haiku News got contacted by the developer Sokolov Anton (alias knorr), and got told that he had been working on the port since the summer of 2005 and that he was looking for help from anyone interested in the BeOS API and had general C++ skills.

Let us just hope that there still is an oportunity of getting AbiWord 2.4 for BeOS / ZETA.

Yea, you could start a fight about OS/2 and BeOS. But you can also go to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BeO... Then you see that the last version was made in 2001. Of OS/2 it is also 2001. But it's in December. So BeOS is deader!. But, OS/2 is now eComstation and BeOS is ZETA. so they aren't really "dead os'es".
