doesn't this clause make it gpl incompatible?

mark, this does not make it GPL incompatible. It is listed by the FSF as such, and this clause is basically to protect the name of the authors, not the code (clause 3. of the 3-clause BSD license)

Thanks hub, i followed your link and learnt something new about the gpl :)
I'm confused tho' about if i cut and pasted code from this file into a gpl source file, would i have to add that clause to the gpl header? - off topic i know, but perhaps you know the answer.
