Don't take it personnaly, but what's the point of releasing so fast a new update, are those bug fixes so important that the release is needed now and that the development team can't wait a few more weeks ?

What's the point of waiting with a bug-fix release?

Normal end users (the aim of abiword) do not like upgrading every week or so. Waiting a bit longer fixes more bugs at the next release. Just trying to help abiword reach a wider audience.

What's the point of asking these questions on hub's blog?

In any case, release early release often means that users who want or need a given set of bug fixes can get them. Nobody is forcing any user to upgrade if he does not want to. To not release is to prevent a user who wants or needs to upgrade from being able to do so (without taking on supernatural aka dev powers)

Two things: First, it would be nice if release notes went up immediately so we can quickly check if it's an essential download or not. Second, one downside of frequent releases is that it probably unnecessarily sucks bandwidth from the net (loop back to first point).
